Role Description This is a full-time, in office Video Editor role based in Bengaluru.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for editing educational and marketing videos, assembling raw footage, selecting impactful clips, and ensuring smooth transitions and pacing aligned with SciAstra’s brand and pedagogical goals. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with content creators and educators, applying color grading,



adding motion graphics and visual elements, integrating audio tracks, and preparing videos for multiple platforms such as YouTube, social media, and course portals. The role also involves optimizing video formats, maintaining organized project files, adhering to timelines, and continuously improving video quality based on feedback and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Video Production and Video Editing skills to plan, assemble, and refine high-quality video content.

Candidates should possess Video Color Grading skills to enhance visual consistency, tone, and overall viewer experience.

Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to create engaging titles, lower thirds, infographics, and visual explanations.

Proficiency with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or equivalents).

Ability to collaborate with educators and creative teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail, storytelling ability, and an interest in science or education-focused content.

Relevant coursework or a degree in Film, Media, Communication, Design, or a related field is beneficial; prior experience in educational or online content is a plus.
