Role Description The Vice President of Engineering is a full-time remote role responsible for leading PInterview’s engineering organization and driving the technical roadmap for the platform. This role oversees software development teams, defines engineering best practices, and ensures scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that support real-time online mock interviews and related services.

The Vice

President of Engineering collaborates closely with product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical initiatives and deliver features on time and within scope. Daily responsibilities include managing engineering managers and teams, setting clear objectives, monitoring project execution, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement. The role also includes hiring and mentoring engineering talent, managing budgets and vendor relationships,



and ensuring strong alignment between technology decisions and PInterview’s mission and growth plans.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Engineering Management, including building, scaling, and mentoring diverse engineering teams.
- Strong Team Leadership skills, with experience setting vision, driving accountability, and cultivating collaborative, inclusive work environments.
- Deep hands-on and architectural experience in Software Development, ideally with up-to-date web technologies, cloud platforms, and real-time communication systems.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery of complex, multi-team initiatives.
- Experience in Product Development, partnering with product and design to define requirements, shape technical solutions, and bring user-centric features to market.
- Proven track record in senior engineering or technology leadership roles (e.g., Director, VP, CTO) within SaaS or online platform environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical strategies to business objectives and clearly convey trade-offs.
- Experience leading fully or partially remote teams and implementing effective remote collaboration practices.
- Familiarity with security, reliability, and performance best practices for online and video-based applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
