VTL Operator –

Job Title: VTL Operator / CNC VTL Operator

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Experience: 2–5 years preferred

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Turner, Fitter, or relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) machines.
- Load and properly align workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and machining specifications.
- Set tool offsets, work offsets, cutting parameters, and machine settings.
- Operate CNC controls such as Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi, where applicable.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary tool/offset corrections.
- Inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial gauges, etc.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and production quality.
- Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and machining defects.




- Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
- Follow production schedules, quality procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain production and inspection records.

Required Skills:

- Good knowledge of VTL/CNC machining operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds and feeds.
- Understanding of dimensional tolerances and GD&T; is an advantage.
- Positive measurement and inspection skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machining problems.
- Willingness to work in shifts.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
