Internship Overview

As a UI/UX Designer Intern at AaoStays, you'll work directly on the design of our homestay booking platform — shaping how guests search, browse, and book stays, and how hosts manage their listings. You'll take ownership of design tasks from wireframe to final handoff, working closely with our product and development teams to bring ideas to life. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real products used by real travelers and hosts, not just a portfolio exercise.

Key ResponsibilitiesUI Design

Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for web and mobile

Build and maintain reusable components and variants

Apply Auto Layout for responsive, scalable designs

Ensure visual consistency using design systems





Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes

UX Research & Design

Conduct user research to understand guest and host needs

Map user flows and information architecture for key journeys

Create wireframes to structure new features before high-fidelity design

Run usability testing sessions and gather feedback

Apply basic accessibility principles (WCAG basics) to all designs

Write clear, user-friendly microcopy (UX writing basics)

Collaboration & General Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate design implementation

Prepare and organize assets for smooth design handoff

Maintain version control and transparent file organization in Figma

Iterate on designs based on product requirements and stakeholder feedback

Participate in team discussions and contribute design perspective to product decisions

Who Should Apply

Students or recent graduates in UI/UX, Design, Computer Science, or related fields

Basic knowledge of UI/UX principles

Familiarity with Figma

Understanding of responsive design

Strong creativity and problem-solving skills

Good communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn
