Job Purpose The Truck Tracking Executive will be responsible for real-time monitoring and tracking of vehicles and shipments, ensuring timely movement of trucks from origin to destination. The role will operate as part of the Control Tower team, identifying delays, exceptions, and deviations and coordinating with transporters, drivers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

Role Description The Truck Tracking Executive | Control Tower role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram, HR. The person in this role monitors and tracks truck movements in real time, ensuring on-time pickups, deliveries, and adherence to planned routes. Daily responsibilities include updating shipment statuses, coordinating with drivers and dispatch teams,



and resolving delays or exceptions quickly to keep operations running smoothly. The role involves continuous communication with customers and internal stakeholders, providing accurate information on load status, ETAs, and service issues.

The Truck Tracking

Executive also contributes to data entry, report generation, and process improvements within the control tower environment to enhance service reliability and visibility.

Required Skills

1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, fleet operations, or shipment tracking.

Good understanding of truck movement and transportation operations.

Experience with GPS-based vehicle tracking or transportation management systems is preferred.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Ability to monitor multiple shipments simultaneously and prioritize critical exceptions.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a time-sensitive and operations-driven environment.

Willingness to work in shifts, including rotational shifts, if required.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the movement of trucks and shipments through GPS, TMS, ERP, or tracking platforms.

Track vehicles from dispatch/pick-up through delivery and maintain real-time shipment visibility.

Monitor planned versus actual vehicle movement, route adherence,



and estimated time of arrival (ETA).

Identify delays, route deviations, stoppages, breakdowns, and other shipment exceptions.

Proactively follow up with drivers, transporters, and logistics partners to obtain shipment updates.

Escalate critical delays and operational issues to the appropriate stakeholders.

Maintain accurate and timely track-and-trace records and update shipment status in relevant systems.

Coordinate with warehouses, transport teams, customer service, and other stakeholders regarding shipment status.

Ensure timely communication of ETA changes and delivery risks.

Follow up on delayed, stationary, or non-responsive vehicles until resolution.

Prepare daily/weekly tracking and exception reports.

Monitor key operational metrics such as on-time pickup, on-time delivery, vehicle turnaround time, transit delays, truck idling and tracking compliance.

Support root-cause analysis of recurring transportation delays and tracking issues.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with established Control Tower processes and SLAs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve shipment visibility, tracking accuracy, and transportation performance.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be proactive, alert, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with real-time operational data. They should have strong follow-up skills and the ability to quickly identify shipment exceptions and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to minimize transportation delays.
