Role Description The Test Driver at Gurudev Motors – Skoda Cars Workshop Guindy is responsible for conducting test drives of vehicles before and after service or repair to verify roadworthiness, performance, and safety. In this full-time, in office role based in Chennai, the Test Driver will assess vehicle handling, braking, engine performance, and other key functions, and accurately report findings to service advisors and technicians. The position involves following standard test-drive procedures, adhering to all traffic rules and safety regulations, and maintaining clear documentation of test results.

Driver will coordinate with workshop teams to support diagnosis of issues, confirm the quality of completed repairs, and help ensure high customer satisfaction through reliable and safe vehicle delivery.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to clearly report vehicle performance, discuss issues with technicians, and interact professionally with team members.

- Candidates should possess Training-related capabilities, including willingness to learn workshop procedures, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines, and to participate in ongoing skill development.

- Candidates should possess Automotive and Automotive Industry knowledge to understand vehicle systems, common faults, and service processes in a dealership or workshop environment.

- Candidates should possess basic Automotive Engineering awareness to interpret technical information, support accurate diagnostics, and provide detailed feedback after test drives.

- Valid driving license with a clean driving record and confidence in driving different car models and conditions.

- Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.

- Prior experience in a service workshop, dealership, or test driving role is an advantage.

- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or related fields is beneficial.
