Role: QA Engineer (Python + Selenium)

What are we looking for!

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Selenium automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, and working closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Experience with API testing, SQL, and CI/CD is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Test Automation:

· Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Selenium WebDriver.

· Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks using PyTest or similar Python-based testing frameworks.

· Create and maintain reusable test components following Page Object Model and other automation best practices.

Functional & Regression Testing:

· Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test cases.

· Analyze requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

· Perform exploratory and manual testing where required to ensure complete product coverage.

API & Database Testing:

· Perform API testing using Postman, REST APIs, or Python-based API testing libraries.





· Validate backend data and application workflows using SQL queries.

Defect Management & Collaboration:

· Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira.

· Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to investigate and resolve defects.

· Analyze test failures and contribute to root-cause analysis and continuous quality improvement.

CI/CD & Quality Engineering:

· Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

· Maintain test reports, automation documentation, and quality metrics.

· Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.

Qualifications

· 4–6 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.

· Robust hands-on experience with Python programming.

· Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and web UI automation.

· Experience with PyTest, Unittest, or similar Python testing frameworks.

· Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, test planning, and software testing methodologies.

· Hands-on experience with API testing and REST services.

· Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.

· Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD concepts.

· Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Excellent analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
