Job Brief:

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Proposal / Application Engineer – Valves to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries, interpreting technical specifications, selecting suitable valve solutions, and preparing accurate technical and commercial proposals.

The role requires close coordination with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure proposals meet customer requirements, industry standards, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of industrial valves and excellent proposal preparation skills within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Water Treatment, or Process industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review customer enquiries, RFQs, tender documents, specifications, datasheets, P&IDs;, and project requirements.
- Analyze process conditions and recommend suitable valve types, materials, pressure ratings, trims, actuators, and accessories.
- Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations for industrial valve products.
- Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications and international standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, MSS, NACE, and PED.
- Prepare technical compliance statements, deviation lists, and clarification documents.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement,



Manufacturing, and Quality departments to obtain technical and commercial inputs.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team during customer meetings, bid clarification discussions, and negotiations.
- Review customer purchase orders to ensure compliance with submitted quotations.
- Support project handover to the execution team after order confirmation.
- Maintain quotation records and proposal documentation in the ERP/CRM system.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and assist the Sales team in securing orders.
- Monitor tender deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Participate in customer visits, technical meetings, product presentations, exhibitions, and factory inspections when required.
- Stay updated with industry trends, valve technologies, and applicable engineering standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in Technical Proposal Engineering, Application Engineering, or Technical Sales Support for industrial valves.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Water Treatment, EPC, or Process Industries is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of industrial valves, including Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly, Plug, Control, and Safety Relief Valves.
- Good understanding of valve sizing, material selection, pressure classes, temperature ratings, and actuation systems.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs;, engineering drawings, process datasheets, and customer specifications.
- Knowledge of international standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, MSS, NACE, and PED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent), CRM software, and valve sizing/selection software is an advantage.
