About GBG EV

GBG EV, a division of GoBabyGo Cabs Private Limited, is building an integrated electric-mobility technology platform for EV riders, investors, technicians, fleet operations and vehicle hubs.

Our ecosystem includes Rider, Technician and Investor mobile applications, along with web-based Admin and Hub Management Panels. The platform manages rider onboarding, KYC, vehicle rental, payments, digital agreements, wallets, GPS tracking, fleet inventory, maintenance and investor payouts.

We are establishing an in-house IT team to take complete ownership of the platform, reduce third-party dependency and support the company’s future expansion.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead / Engineering Manager to lead the technical takeover, stabilisation and future development of the GBG EV technology platform.

The selected candidate will be the first senior technical member of our in-house team. You will review the applications developed by our existing technology vendor, take ownership of the source code and infrastructure, identify technical gaps and build a reliable internal engineering function.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The candidate must be comfortable reviewing code, designing architecture, resolving production problems and managing developers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the complete technical handover from the existing software-development vendor.
- Verify and take control of source-code repositories, cloud infrastructure, databases, application-signing keys, APIs, credentials and technical documentation.
- Conduct a detailed audit of the existing Android, iOS, backend and web applications.
- Identify security vulnerabilities, incomplete features, performance problems and scalability risks.
- Prepare a prioritised platform stabilisation and development roadmap.
- Define the technical architecture and engineering standards across Kotlin, Swift, Node.js, MongoDB and AWS.
- Lead Android, iOS, backend, frontend, QA and DevOps team members.
- Review code and ensure that the team follows secure and maintainable development practices.
- Design reliable workflows for KYC, payments, e-signatures, wallets, rental billing and investor payouts.
- Oversee GPS tracking,



telematics integration, vehicle assignment, technician jobs and hub-management workflows.
- Establish development, testing, staging and production environments.
- Implement proper CI/CD, application monitoring, error reporting, automated backups and incident-response processes.
- Establish role-based access controls, secure credential management and regular access reviews.
- Work closely with the Founder, Product Manager and Operations team to convert business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Manage third-party integrations, technical risks and production incidents.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, API documentation, deployment procedures and operational runbooks.
- Participate in hiring, mentoring and performance management of the in-house IT team.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- 7–10 years of professional software-development experience.
- At least 2–3 years of experience leading an engineering or product-development team.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of mobile-app and web-platform architecture.
- Experience with MongoDB or another production database.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and production deployments.
- Experience with authentication, role-based access control, API security and secure data management.
- Experience integrating payment gateways, webhooks and third-party APIs.
- Understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logging, backups and disaster recovery.
- Experience reviewing and improving an unfamiliar or vendor-developed codebase.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in EV mobility, fleet management, logistics, fintech, vehicle rental or telematics.
- Experience with Razorpay, RazorpayX or similar payment and payout platforms.
- Understanding of wallet, ledger, rental deduction and reconciliation systems.
- Experience integrating KYC and digital e-signature providers.




- Experience working with GPS devices, IoT systems or vehicle telematics APIs.
- Knowledge of Indian data-protection, KYC and payment-security requirements.
- AWS or relevant cloud certification would be an advantage.

Success in the First 90 Days
- Complete the technical handover and verify control of all production assets.
- Audit the source code, cloud infrastructure, databases and integrations.
- Identify critical security, stability and performance problems.
- Prepare an approved technical architecture and development roadmap.
- Establish controlled development, staging and production environments.
- Implement monitoring, backups, incident response and release-management procedures.
- Reduce dependency on the existing third-party vendor.
- Build and guide the initial in-house engineering team.
