Role Overview:
To foster a positive employee relations environment by driving employee engagement initiatives, addressing employee concerns, ensuring fair and timely resolution of grievances, conducting disciplinary enquiries, and providing operational HR support to ensure smooth shopfloor and business operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Employee Engagement
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, motivation, and workplace culture.
- Coordinate employees connect sessions, awareness campaigns, and engagement activities.
- Gather employee feedback through formal and recommend action plans.
- Partner with line managers to strengthen employee experience and workplace relationships.
2. Employee Grievance Management
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Facilitate timely investigation and resolution of employee grievances while maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintain grievance records, track closure timelines, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Adherence to all legal & organization guidelines in enquiry procedures and closures.
3. Disciplinary Management & Domestic Enquiries
- Conduct preliminary fact-finding and investigations into policy violations and misconduct.
- Coordinate disciplinary proceedings in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws.
- Prepare documentation including charge sheets, enquiry notices, witness statements, enquiry reports, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Ensure fairness, neutrality, confidentiality, and procedural compliance throughout the enquiry process.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly absenteeism trends across departments and locations.
- Analyze absenteeism data to identify recurring patterns, root causes, and high-risk areas.
- Investigate cases of unauthorized absence and recommend appropriate disciplinary action in line with company policy.
- Conduct employee counseling to understand personal, medical, or workplace factors contributing to absenteeism.
4. Employee Relations
- Build trust and maintain healthy relationships with employees and sponsors.
- Promote effective communication between management and employees.
- Support initiatives that strengthen a positive and collaborative work setting.
- Monitor employee relations trends and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Periodical audit and maintain Hygiene standard of workplace and Stay facilities provided by the company.
- Contingency Management like any workplace related accident and support for employees on any outside accident.
- Anticipate, identify, and mitigate potential IR risks by monitoring workplace trends and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Conduct training and awareness programs for managers on labor laws, employee relations, and effective people management practices.
5. Benchmarking Visits
- Plan and conduct benchmarking visits to leading organizations to study employee relations, industrial relations, employee engagement, welfare practices, and HR processes.
- Develop benchmarking frameworks and compare organizational practices with industry standards.
- Prepare benchmarking reports with observations, gap analysis, and recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-functional visits with manufacturing plants and external organizations.
- Drive implementation of best practices identified through benchmarking exercises.
- Track measurable improvements resulting from benchmarking initiatives.
