Role Description The Team Lead is a full time, on-site role based in Lucknow, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and initiatives aligned with animal welfare and community development programs. This role coordinates field activities, ensures smooth execution of animal care, education, and empowerment projects, and supports collaboration with local NGOs, volunteers, and partners.
The Team
Lead will supervise and guide team members, manage schedules and resources, monitor program progress, and support data collection and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves building community relationships,
identifying local needs, contributing to fundraising and outreach efforts, and ensuring that work follows the organization’s ethical standards and policies.
Qualifications
Experience leading teams or projects in the social sector, nonprofit, community development, or related fields, with strong people management and coordination skills.
Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and community service, with the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities and partner organizations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, engage volunteers, and collaborate with donors and NGOs.
Organizational and planning skills to manage multiple programs, track activities, and support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Basic familiarity with project management tools, documentation, and use of digital communication platforms (email, messaging, spreadsheets, presentations).
Ability to work on-site in Lucknow, including field visits, with flexibility for occasional weekend or evening responsibilities as program needs require.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, development studies, management, or a related discipline; relevant experience in lieu of formal education may be considered.
Knowledge of local languages and cultural context in Uttar Pradesh is an advantage; prior experience with animal welfare NGOs or grassroots initiatives is highly beneficial.
