Role Description This is a full time, on-site Study Visa Counselor role based in Chandigarh, India.

The Study Visa

Counselor will guide prospective students and their families through the entire study visa process, including initial consultation, eligibility assessment, and country/course selection. The role involves explaining admission and visa requirements, assisting with documentation, form filling, and application submission, and coordinating with educational institutions and visa offices as needed. The counselor will conduct regular follow-ups, maintain accurate records of student interactions, and provide timely updates on application status.



Additional responsibilities include participating in student seminars or information sessions, supporting marketing and outreach activities, and ensuring all processes comply with current immigration and education regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to clearly explain study options, visa requirements, and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and institutional partners professionally.
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation, application review, and data management, with strong organizational skills.
- Up-to-date understanding of international education systems and basic knowledge of visa and immigration guidelines for key study destinations.
- Proficiency in using computers, CRM or student management systems, and standard office software for daily operations.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Chandigarh, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet deadlines under time pressure.
- 1-2 years of experience in overseas education consulting, immigration services, or student counseling is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, business, or humanities is an advantage.
