Role Description The Store Incharge role at bigbasket is a full-time, on-site position based in Eranad. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, including inventory management, order processing, and ensuring proper product display and hygiene standards.
The Store
Incharge monitors staff performance, assigns tasks, and supports team members to maintain smooth operations and a safe working environment. The position involves tracking sales, controlling shrinkage, implementing retail loss prevention measures,
and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. A key focus of the role is delivering high levels of customer service and satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and maintaining a consistent, customer-centric store experience.
Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to handle queries and resolve concerns effectively.
Proficiency in Store Management, including inventory control, staff coordination, and day-to-day operational oversight.
Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management, both verbally and in writing.
Understanding of Retail Loss Prevention practices to minimize shrinkage and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
Relevant experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse operations; prior supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
Basic numerical and computer skills for handling reports, stock records, and store management systems.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak seasons, and to stand or move around the store for extended periods.
Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in retail management, business, or related field is an advantage.
