Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Store & Purchase Manager to manage the complete purchasing and stores function for the pre-opening of The Kamala Resort, Sakleshpur.

The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, procurement, inventory, receiving, storage and ensuring timely availability of all operational requirements before opening.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle all pre-opening purchasing and stores activities.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate competitive prices.
- Coordinate procurement of F&B;, housekeeping, engineering, guest supplies, uniforms, office supplies and other operating items.
- Coordinate with all HODs for their procurement requirements.
- Set up and organize the stores and receiving areas.
- Establish minimum/maximum stock levels and par stocks.
- Ensure proper receiving, checking, storage and issuing of materials.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO and proper stock rotation.
- Monitor inventory and control wastage and stock variances.
- Maintain all purchase orders, GRNs, invoices and procurement records.
- Coordinate with Finance for purchase and payment documentation.
- Develop local suppliers around Sakleshpur and nearby areas.
- Support ERP/item-code and inventory system implementation.




- Ensure all required opening stock is available before the resort opens.
- Follow company procurement policies and approval procedures.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Prepare the procurement plan and opening stock list.
- Complete vendor finalization and rate negotiations.
- Set up stores and inventory systems.
- Procure OS&E; and operational supplies.
- Recruit and train the stores/purchase team.
- Ensure all materials are received and stored before opening.
- Conduct final stock verification before the resort launch.

Candidate Profile
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Procurement, Materials Management or equivalent.
- 5–8 years of experience in hotel/resort Purchase & Stores.
- Previous pre-opening hotel/resort experience preferred.
- Positive knowledge of hospitality procurement and inventory control.
- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and hotel ERP systems.
- Honest, organized, detail-oriented and commercially aware.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
