Role Description The Sr. Draughtman is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This position is responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings and 3D models for mechanically power transmitted products, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards.

Daily tasks include interpreting design concepts, collaborating with design and production teams, updating and maintaining drawing records, and revising drawings based on feedback from engineering and manufacturing. The Sr. Draughtman will also support prototyping and product development, create assembly drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs),



and help standardize drawing practices and documentation.

The role involves close coordination with quality and production teams to resolve design-related issues and optimize designs for industrial applications.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in mechanical drafting and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, and the ability to produce precise 2D and 3D engineering drawings.

Sound understanding of mechanical components, machine design principles, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes relevant to transmission products.

Experience in preparing assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation, and in maintaining drawing version control and standards.

Ability to interpret engineering specifications, read and create technical schematics, and collaborate with design, production, and quality teams.

Relevant technical education such as a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting, with prior experience in a similar draughting role.

Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing tasks and deadlines.

Experience in industrial or heavy equipment sectors, especially mechanically power transmitted products, is an advantage.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
