PPM Developer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PPM Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions. The role involves configuring and customizing PPM platforms to support project planning, portfolio governance, resource management, and financial tracking.

The ideal candidate will have robust experience in PPM tools, workflow configuration, integrations, and reporting, and will work closely with PMO teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core PPM Skills

.Hands-on experience with one or more PPM tools:

oOpenText PPM/ ServiceNow PPM / Clarity / Planview / Jira Align / MS Project

.Strong understanding of:

oProject lifecycle management oPortfolio governance oResource & financial management

Technical Skills

.Experience in:

oWorkflow configuration and automation oAPI development and integrations oSQL and database querying oOracle Database 19C (12.2.0.3), JDK 8.18.X oOKTA, IAM Integration

.Knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, or tool-specific scripting)

.Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies

Key Responsibilities

- PPM Solution Development

.Design, configure, and customize PPM platforms such as:

oOpenText PPM oServiceNow PPM oPlanview oClarity PPM oJira Align / Advanced Roadmaps oMS Project Online / Project for the Web

.Implement project lifecycle workflows including:

oDemand intake oProject approvals oPortfolio Management and Optimization

.Configure forms, templates, fields, and business rules.

.Change requests and cost benefit analysis

- Workflow & Process Automation

.Develop and optimize workflows for:





oProject governance oResource allocation oFinancial management processes

.Automate business processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

.Ensure alignment with organizational PMO standards.

- Integration & Data Management

.Build and maintain integrations between PPM systems and other enterprise tools:

oERP systems (SAP, Oracle)

oHR systems (resource data)

oAgile tools (Rally/JIRA, Azure DevOps)

.Develop and manage APIs, data feeds, and ETL processes.

.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and synchronization.

- Reporting & Dashboard Development

.Create and maintain:

oPortfolio dashboards oResource utilization reports oFinancial tracking (budget vs actuals)

.Use tools like Power BI, Tableau, or native PPM reporting.

.Deliver insights to support decision-making and portfolio optimization.

- Customization & Enhancements

.Develop custom features or scripts within the PPM platform as required.

.Enhance system functionality based on user feedback and business needs.

.Optimize performance and user experience of the PPM tool.

- Testing & Deployment

.Perform unit testing, system testing, and deployment validation.

.Support release management activities including:

oVersion upgrades oPatch deployments

.Ensure compliance with change management processes.

.Work closely with:

.Gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
