KEY RESPONSIBILITIES For this role, “it works on my machine” is not acceptable. You should understand and be able to troubleshoot the complete production journey:

Code → Build → Docker → CI/CD → Google Cloud → Kubernetes → Server → Database → Network → Monitoring → Production We expect strong knowledge of:

- Backend architecture, system design, scalability, and high availability
- REST APIs, microservices, asynchronous and event-driven architecture
- MongoDB, MySQL/PostgreSQL, database design, indexing, and optimization
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Linux servers and server administration
- Nginx, reverse proxies, load balancing, SSL/TLS, DNS, networking, firewalls, and server security
- Redis, caching, queues, background workers, and asynchronous processing
- Authentication, authorization, API security, secrets management, and data protection
- CI/CD, automated deployments, logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability
- Performance optimization, failure recovery, scalability, and production reliability You should be capable of independently investigating slow APIs, high CPU/memory usage, Kubernetes pod failures, failed deployments, database bottlenecks, 502/503 errors, service communication failures, and scaling issues. We don't expect you to hand every infrastructure issue to DevOps. You should understand the complete system, investigate problems independently, collaborate effectively, and own the issue until resolution. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of strong backend development experience, with substantial production experience using Node.js.
- Strong expertise in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with MongoDB, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, services, pods, scaling, health checks, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong debugging and root-cause problem-solving abilities.




- Proven ability to own complex technical problems from architecture through production.
- Strong product, customer, and business understanding.
- Practical experience using AI and modern engineering tools to improve development speed, debugging, automation, productivity, and quality.
- Robust communication, teamwork, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
