Role: SQL DBA Location: Bangalore Experience: 8-10 Must Have: Provide end-to-end architecture and engineering services for enterprise Microsoft SQL Server platforms, including high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resilience design.

- Deliver implementation and deployment services for SQL Server environments across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructures in alignment with organizational requirements and standards.
- Establish and maintain database platform standards, governance models, operational policies, and best practices to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance.
- Assess emerging technologies, platform enhancements, and modernization opportunities to improve database performance, operational efficiency, and service capabilities.
- Manage installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities for SQL Server environments while minimizing operational risk and downtime.
- Provide database performance management services, including proactive monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, optimization, and resource utilization management.
- Implement and maintain backup, restore, recovery, and business continuity solutions to support service availability and data protection requirements.
- Enable automation and infrastructure standardization through scripting, orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, including PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC).
- Deliver Level 3 technical support for complex database incidents, performance degradation, availability issues, and critical production escalations.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis,



and remediation for SQL Server failures, bottlenecks, and data-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, technology partners, and managed service providers for issue resolution, escalation management, and support case handling.
- Participate in major incident management processes and contribute to post-incident reviews, corrective actions, and service improvement initiatives.
- Drive Continual Service Improvement (CSI) activities focused on enhancing SQL platform stability, reliability, automation, and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on platform health, service reliability, operational metrics, and performance indicators to ensure adherence to agreed service levels.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and database security best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and govern operational documentation, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, configuration records, recovery procedures, and technical standards.
- Serve as the technical authority for database architecture, operational strategy, and solution design decisions across the SQL Server ecosystem.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to support integrated solution delivery and operational alignment.
- Provide advisory and consultation services to service owners and internal stakeholders on optimal utilization and management of database services.
- Coordinate operational activities and service delivery across Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and third-party support organizations to ensure seamless support coverage.
