Location: Mumbai (on-site)

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer (2–5 years) to join our Engineering / Quality Assurance team. This is an on-site, full-time role focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, stability, and performance of our web, iOS, Android, APIs, backend services, and supporting platforms.

This is more than a test-case execution role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys breaking systems, finding edge cases, investigating failures, debugging complex issues, identifying root causes, and understanding why something failed.

What you'll do -

- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications.
- Test native/cross-platform iOS and Android apps across devices, OS versions, network conditions, and app lifecycle scenarios.
- Test REST APIs and backend services, including authentication, authorization, error handling, data validation, and database consistency.
- Validate complete workflows across Web/Mobile → API → Backend → Database → External Systems.
- Investigate complex, intermittent, and production issues using logs, crash reports, API responses, network traces, database records, and monitoring data.
- Perform structured root-cause analysis and identify whether issues originate in the frontend, mobile app, API, backend, database, infrastructure, configuration, or third-party systems.
- Test failure and recovery scenarios including timeouts, retries, outages, crashes,



interrupted transactions, duplicate processing, and data integrity.
- Validate application and API performance, stability, responsiveness, resource usage, and scalability.
- Build and maintain test automation for web, mobile, API, and critical end-to-end workflows, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support release validation, production deployment verification, database migrations, configuration changes, and rollback testing.
- Test operational components such as scheduled jobs, background workers, monitoring, alerting, health checks, logging, and audit trails.

What we're looking for -

- 2–7 years of experience in software testing / QA.
- Strong experience in web, mobile, API, and backend testing.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Positive understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, authentication, authorization, and SQL.
- Experience working with Git, CI/CD, and Linux/Unix environments.
- Ability to investigate problems independently and work across different layers of a technology stack.

Good to have -

Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, React, Firebase Crashlytics, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
