Role Description

We are hiring a Software Testing Intern at Webstors Labs. In this role, the intern will design, execute, and maintain test cases that validate complete workflows end to end across the company's products — following structured, journey-based test plans in dedicated QA environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing manual tests across web and mobile interfaces, testing role-based access across multiple distinct user roles, verifying that data entered in one place appears correctly everywhere it should, and identifying and documenting defects in a defined ticket format with clear reproduction steps, expected behavior, and current behavior.

The intern will collaborate directly with developers to reproduce and resolve issues,



report gaps — flows that dead-end or capabilities a product needs but lacks — not only bugs, and contribute to regression testing, release sign-off, and the continuous improvement of test coverage and documentation. Assignments may move between different products and projects over the course of the internship.

Qualifications

- Solid grasp of core software testing concepts, test execution, and testing methodologies, with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to design and maintain clear test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Ability to reason about data flow in an application — where a record is created, what reads it, and what must change when it is corrected.
- Interest in testing permission and role-based access boundaries (what each role can see and do, and what it must not).
- Disciplined written documentation of results and defects: transparent steps, expected vs. current behavior, severity.
- Hands-on exposure to manual testing of web applications, including mobile-responsive interfaces; familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman), automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium), or basic SQL is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Empathy for non-technical users is valued as much as technical skill.
