Role Description: This remote Software Engineer role is a contract position focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, effective code, developing and optimizing APIs and services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable features.

The engineer will review and refactor existing code, perform debugging and troubleshooting, and contribute to technical documentation and code reviews. The role also involves working with version control systems, participating in sprint planning,



and ensuring that software meets performance, security, and scalability requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including building and maintaining APIs and server-side applications.
- Hands-on experience with Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, PHP, React, Flutter, or similar).
- Familiarity with databases, version control (e.g., Git), and basic software testing practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms or containerization (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
