Role Description This is a full-time, in office Software Developer role based in Hyderabad.

The Software

Developer will design, build, and maintain software tools and platforms that support ReGen Consulting’s sustainability and regenerative design initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing back-end services and APIs, implementing data models, and integrating systems that track and report sustainability metrics. The role involves collaborating with consultants and designers to translate environmental frameworks into software requirements, writing clean and efficient code, and participating in code reviews and testing.

Developer will also help optimize performance, ensure security and reliability, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of internal and client-facing applications.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application to scalable, maintainable code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or DevOps practices is an advantage.
- Interest in sustainability, regenerative design, or environmental impact analytics is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and adapt to evolving project needs.
