Role Description The SMT Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines to ensure smooth production, maintain quality standards, and achieve daily production targets. Key Responsibilities

Operate SMT production line machines such as Solder Paste Printer (DEK), Pick & Place Machines (FUJI/Panasonic), SPI, AOI, and Reflow Oven.

Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and basic operational checks.

Load PCB magazines, feeders, reels, and electronic components as per production requirements.

Verify component part numbers, feeder locations, and PCB models before production.

Monitor machine performance and report any alarms or abnormalities to the Process Engineer or Supervisor.

Perform feeder replacement and component replenishment during production.

Follow production plans and achieve daily output targets.





Ensure proper handling of solder paste and electronic components.

Maintain cleanliness of machines and the work area by following 5S standards.

Record production data, machine downtime, and rejection details.

Follow SOPs, work instructions, and all safety guidelines.

Assist the maintenance team during preventive maintenance activities.

Requirements

Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes.

Ability to operate production machines safely.

Understanding of electronic components and PCB handling.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in shifts.

Valuable teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

Experience in the electronics manufacturing industry is preferred.

Experience 2–5 Years (Electronics Manufacturing Industry)
