Role Description The Site Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing civil works and infrastructure activities at project sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising construction operations, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring that all civil works follow approved designs, technical specifications, and safety standards. The role involves reviewing drawings, performing site inspections, monitoring progress against schedules, and assisting in the resolution of technical issues related to grading, drainage, utilities, and structural elements.

The Site Civil

Engineer will also prepare reports, maintain documentation, support quality control processes, and collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to keep projects on time, within budget, and compliant with local regulations.

Qualifications

Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills, including the ability to interpret drawings, apply standards, and support infrastructure and site development.

Experience working as part of teams of Civil Engineers,



with strong collaboration skills and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Planning skills for scheduling, resource allocation, and site coordination to meet project milestones and maintain efficient workflows.

Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related drainage systems, including design review and implementation of effective site water control solutions.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Familiarity with relevant local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Proficiency in common engineering and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and basic project reporting tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.

Previous in office experience in construction or infrastructure projects in an urban environment is an advantage.
