Role Description The Shift Engineer – Mechanical (Autoclave & Oven Operations) is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The role involves supervising daily operation of autoclaves and industrial ovens, ensuring equipment is run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with process specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring mechanical performance, conducting routine inspections, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting operational parameters and test results. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, optimize process cycles, and support continuous improvement initiatives in production and testing environments. The role also requires adherence to safety protocols, reporting any irregularities,



and supporting compliance with relevant defense and space project requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, with a solid understanding of industrial equipment, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems relevant to autoclave and oven operations.

Candidates should possess Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to interpret and, when required, contribute to mechanical drawings, layouts, and component specifications.

Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, coordinate, and track operational tasks, maintenance activities, and process improvements across shifts.

Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) skills to support process optimization, evaluation of new methods, and implementation of engineering solutions for defense and space applications.

Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, experience with industrial heat-treatment or pressure systems, and familiarity with safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Additional beneficial skills include strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, effective communication, and the capacity to work in a structured, high-accountability environment.
