Role Description The Service Engineer – Programmable Logic Controller and Industrial Automation is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining PLCs, drives, and industrial automation systems at customer locations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and control systems, performing diagnostics, and ensuring minimal downtime for client operations. The engineer will interpret wiring diagrams and PLC logic, configure hardware and software, and support upgrades or modifications as needed. Day-to-day tasks also include preparing service reports,



coordinating with the project and design teams, providing technical support and training to customers, and adhering to safety and quality standards during all site activities.

Qualifications

Strong foundational knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation systems, control panels, and electrical circuits.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

Experience in installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation equipment.

Familiarity with variable frequency drives, servo systems, sensors, and industrial communication protocols is an advantage.

Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Comfort working on-site at industrial facilities, including occasional travel to customer locations.

Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.

Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with clients and preparing service documentation.

Basic computer proficiency and exposure to automation software tools; prior experience in industrial projects is preferred.

Commitment to workplace safety practices and readiness to learn new technologies in industrial automation.
