Role Overview The Server & Solution Architect is a senior technical authority responsible for architecting end-to-end compute, virtualization, storage, and cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise and carrier-grade clients. Operating within the Solution Engineering team that serves both ISP and Master Solution Integrator (MSI) verticals, this role demands deep hands-on expertise combined with strong pre-sales acumen to shape, articulate, and win complex infrastructure deals.

◆ Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect enterprise-grade server, compute, hyper-converged (HCI), and virtualization solutions for telecom, enterprise, and government customers
- Lead technical engagements during pre-sales — discovery calls, workshops, PoC execution, and solution presentations
- Develop detailed solution architectures including HLD / LLD documents, BoM (Bill of Materials), BoQ, and sizing guides
- Evaluate and recommend OEM platforms including HPE, Dell EMC, Lenovo, Cisco UCS, Nutanix, VMware vSphere,



Huawei FusionSphere, and SuperMicro
- Architect private cloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud solutions integrated with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Support the MSI practice in Data Centre build-outs — TOR/EOR switching, storage fabrics, backup, DR, and DCIM
- Collaborate with the Security Architect on hardening of server and virtualisation layers
- Drive OEM relationships with HPE, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, VMware/Broadcom, and maintain current on product roadmaps
- Participate in tender responses, RFP/RFI evaluations, and technical scoring exercises
- Mentor junior engineers on solution methodology, technical depth, and customer presentation skills

◆ Technical Expertise — Hands-On Requirements

- Deep hands-on experience with HPE ProLiant / Synergy, Dell PowerEdge, Cisco UCS, and Nutanix HCI platforms
- VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX-T — administration, sizing, and architecture
- Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Azure Stack HCI deployment
- SAN/NAS storage platforms: HPE Nimble / Primera / MSA, Dell VxFlex, NetApp, Pure Storage
- Backup and DR solutions: Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, Zerto
- Container platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift (conceptual to hands-on)
- IaaS/PaaS/SaaS architecture on AWS, Azure, and GCP — cloud migration and lift-and-shift
- DCIM tools, power/cooling planning, and rack unit optimisation for carrier-grade Data Centres
- Performance tuning, capacity planning, and TCO/ROI analysis for infrastructure decisions

Educational Qualifications

- Mandatory: B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunications
- Equivalent: BCA / MCA / M.Sc. (IT/Networks) — considered with strong industry experience
- Preferred: Postgraduate qualifications (M.Tech / MBA in Technology Management) are a distinct advantage
