The Senior UiPath Engineer is an individual-contributor engineering role responsible for the design, development, implementation, and production readiness of UiPath automation solutions across Mizuho. This role sits within the firm’s Intelligent Automation / RPA engineering function and partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, production support, risk, compliance, and platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, maintainable automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen process controls.

Scope of Responsibility:

The Senior UiPath Engineer will own end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade UiPath automations, including:

- UiPath automation solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Process assessment, technical design, and automation feasibility analysis.
- Development of attended, unattended, and orchestrated automations using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, queues, assets, robots, triggers, and related platform capabilities.
- Integration with enterprise applications, internal APIs, databases, file shares, email, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and other approved systems.
- Implementation of reusable automation frameworks, coding standards, exception handling patterns, logging, monitoring, and operational controls.
- Collaboration with business, RPA, infrastructure, security, production support, and compliance teams to ensure automations are stable, governed, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities: Solution Design & Development

- Design, build, test, and deploy UiPath automation solutions that automate repeatable business and operational processes across Mizuho.
- Partner with business stakeholders and process owners to understand current-state workflows, identify automation opportunities, and translate requirements into technical automation designs.
- Develop scalable, reusable UiPath components using solid engineering practices, including modular design, reusable libraries, robust exception handling, and clear logging.
- Build automations using UiPath Studio, UiPath Orchestrator, queues, assets, triggers, credentials, robots, and related enterprise platform features.
- Integrate automations with enterprise systems through APIs, databases, files, email, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and other approved platforms.
- Create process design documents, solution design documents, test plans, deployment documentation, and support runbooks.
- Ensure automation workflows are built for maintainability, scalability, resiliency, and operational transparency.

Engineering Excellence

- Follow modern software engineering practices, including source control, code review, branching strategies, automated testing, release management, and CI/CD where applicable.
- Apply UiPath and RPA development best practices, including reusable components, configuration-driven design, exception frameworks,



transaction processing patterns, and secure credential management.
- Develop automations that are resilient to application changes, data exceptions, system outages, and production variability.
- Implement structured logging, auditability, alerting, and operational telemetry to support production monitoring and incident resolution.
- Contribute to reusable automation frameworks, accelerators, coding standards, and delivery patterns for the broader RPA engineering team.
- Stay current with UiPath platform capabilities, automation trends, intelligent document processing, AI-assisted automation, and related enterprise automation technologies.

Production Readiness & Support

- Partner with RPA production support teams to ensure smooth transition from project delivery to production operations.
- Prepare deployment packages, runbooks, operational handoff documentation, monitoring requirements, and support procedures.
- Support incident triage, root-cause analysis, defect remediation, and performance tuning for deployed UiPath automations.
- Monitor bot performance, identify recurring failures, and drive continuous improvement in reliability, throughput, and user experience.
- Ensure automations are tested successfully in lower environments before production deployment.
- Participate in change management, release planning, and post-implementation validation.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

- Ensure UiPath automations comply with Mizuho technology, security, data privacy, change management, and operational risk requirements.
- Implement appropriate access controls, secure credential handling, audit logging, and segregation-of-duty considerations.
- Document automation design, dependencies, controls, exception handling, risk points, and operational ownership.
- Partner with Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, and Production Support teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise and regulatory expectations.
- Support governance processes for automation intake, prioritization, design review, production approval, and ongoing control monitoring.
- Ensure automations are designed to protect sensitive data, minimize operational risk, and support traceability.

Required Experience

- 6+ years of software engineering, automation engineering, or RPA development experience, with significant hands-on experience designing and implementing UiPath automations in an enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with UiPath Studio, UiPath Orchestrator, queues, assets, robots, triggers, credentials, packages, and deployment processes.
- Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade unattended and attended automations.
- Experience designing automation solutions for complex business processes, including exception handling, transaction processing, logging, retry logic, and operational monitoring.
- Experience integrating UiPath automations with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, email, files, and internal systems.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in one or more languages such as VB.NET, C#, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Experience with source control,



release management, code reviews, and structured SDLC practices.
- Experience preparing technical design documentation, test evidence, deployment plans, runbooks, and production handoff materials.
- Experience operating within a regulated financial services environment or other highly controlled enterprise technology environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Delivery-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.
- Ability to balance speed of delivery with governance, risk management, and production stability.

Preferred Qualifications

- UiPath Advanced RPA Developer certification or equivalent UiPath professional certification.
- Experience with UiPath Document Understanding, AI Center, Communications Mining, Process Mining, Test Suite, or Automation Hub.
- Experience with intelligent automation patterns that combine RPA with APIs, OCR, document processing, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled capabilities.
- Experience with Power Automate, ServiceNow workflows, Microsoft Graph, Azure services, SQL Server, or other enterprise integration platforms.
- Experience leading technical design reviews or mentoring junior RPA developers.
- Experience in banking, capital markets, risk, operations, finance, compliance, or other financial services domains.
- Familiarity with ITIL, ServiceNow, incident/problem/change management, and production support processes.
