Last Date to Apply: Aug 16, 2026 Advertisement No: TSAS/ACAD/2026/20 Position: Senior Technical Assistant (IT) Number of the Post: 1 (One) contractual Job Summary Provide second-level technical support for the institution's IT infrastructure, systems, networks, servers, and enterprise applications. Responsible for resolving complex technical issues, administering IT services, implementing security controls, maintaining system availability, and supporting academic, research, and administrative operations through reliable and secure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities • Provide second-level support for escalated hardware, software, network, server, and application issues.

- Administer and maintain Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related enterprise systems.
- Manage network infrastructure including switches, wireless networks, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Monitor system, server, network, and application performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, access management, and security best practices.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, backup administration, and disaster recovery activities.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT services and applications.




- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents within defined service levels.
- Ensure reliable, secure, and productive IT operations across the institution.
- Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and service delivery.
- Mentor and guide L1 support engineers and assist in knowledge sharing.

Required Skills • Windows Server and Linux administration

- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Microsoft 365 Administration and Entra ID (Azure AD)
- LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, VLAN, Routing & Switching
- Firewall and network security management
- Virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- System monitoring and performance management
- Endpoint management and cybersecurity tools
- IT service management and ticketing systems Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Typically 3–6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, Network Administration, or Enterprise IT Support roles.
