Nattika Ayurveda Retreats operates authentic Ayurveda wellness resorts in India and Germany — The Nattika Beach Resort (Kerala), Rockholm at the Lighthouse Beach (Kovalam), and Retreat Park am See Nattika (Germany) — alongside the Nattika Life product line. Our guests come primarily from Germany, Europe, and increasingly from India.

Role Summary

You will own the full digital web presence of the group: managing, maintaining, and developing all our WordPress websites, and driving organic search performance (SEO) across English and German markets. We expect you to deliver measurable results, work hands-on, and take end-to-end ownership from server to search ranking.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Management (WordPress)

- Full ownership of all group websites built on WordPress: development, maintenance, updates, uptime, backups, and security
- Build and modify pages, templates, custom post types, and landing pages in-house (no outsourcing routine work)
- Manage themes, plugins, PHP/CSS/JS customisations, and staging-to-production workflows
- Ensure rapid page speed and Core Web Vitals compliance across all sites
- Manage hosting, domains, SSL, CDN, and coordinate with hosting providers
- Handle site migrations, redesigns, and multilingual site structure (English/German)
- Integrate and maintain booking enquiry forms, rate/booking tools, analytics, and third-party scripts

SEO

- Own the organic search strategy for all properties in both English and German-language markets
- Keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO audits, and content briefs for writers
- Recover and grow rankings for priority terms (wellness, Ayurveda, Panchakarma, destination terms)
- Build and manage the backlink profile, including partner link exchanges
- Local SEO:



Google Business Profiles for each property
- Monthly performance reporting: rankings, organic traffic, enquiries/conversions attributed to organic — with clear commentary on what was done and what moved

Analytics & Conversion

- Manage GA4, Google Search Console, and Tag Manager across all sites
- Track enquiry and booking conversions; propose and implement conversion-rate improvements
- A/B test landing pages and enquiry flows

Requirements
- 4–7 years of hands-on WordPress development and management (not just page-builder usage — comfortable in PHP, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript)
- Proven SEO track record with verifiable results (be prepared to show before/after data from past projects)
- Experience running multilingual/international SEO; German-market SEO experience is a strong plus
- Strong technical SEO skills: crawling, indexation, schema markup, hreflang, site speed
- Proficient with GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager, and at least one SEO suite (Ahrefs/SEMrush/similar)
- Experience with site migrations and staging environments
- Self-directed: able to plan, execute, and report without agency-style hand-holding
- Fluent English; German language ability is a plus
- Hospitality, wellness, or travel industry experience is a plus.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a practical, technically strong person who is comfortable taking ownership of websites rather than simply preparing SEO reports and recommendations.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently identify what is preventing a website from ranking or converting well and then implement the necessary improvements.
