Role Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in BDD-based test automation , release management, and quality engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright, Cucumber/Behave, Selenium, and API testing tools (or equivalent technologies) , while leading test execution across Agile delivery teams.

Experience in banking or Core Banking applications is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end test automation strategy and execution for application releases.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber/Behave, and Java/Python .
- Write and maintain high-quality feature files, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria following BDD practices.
- Drive test planning, test execution, defect management, and release sign-off activities.




- Build and maintain automation reporting dashboards using Allure Reporting or equivalent tools.
- Perform API, database, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience with Playwright and/or Selenium
- Expertise in Cucumber or Behave (BDD Frameworks) or Cypress
- Experience writing and maintaining Gherkin feature files
- Load Testing / PEN Testing
- Reporting tools like Allure
- Hands-on experience with:
- Java and/or Python
- TestNG
- Maven
- Git
- Postman
- Oracle SQL
- Jira / Zephyr / TestRail
- Experience owning release testing cycles and test sign-off processes
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have:

- Core Banking or Financial Services domain experience
- Mobile automation using Appium
- Performance testing using JMeter
- Accessibility testing (WCAG, NVDA)
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools such as:
- GitHub Copilot
- Playwright Agents
- MCP-based integrations
- AI-driven test generation and analysis
