About the Role The Australian Desk is a growing practice within the firm. The right candidate will start with core compliance delivery and, over time, take on higher-value advisory work — SMSF strategy, tax planning, and cross-border coordination — with scope to help shape and eventually lead the desk as it expands. Key Responsibilities

Preparation and review of Australian individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns





Preparation and lodgement of BAS (Business Activity Statements) including GST reconciliations

End-to-end SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) work — documentation, financial statements, annual returns, and compliance

Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and periodic management reporting on Xero

Ensuring adherence to ATO deadlines and Australian compliance standards

Coordinating with onshore teams/clients on queries and workpaper reviews Required Experience & Skills

Hands-on experience in Australian taxation

Proficiency in BAS / GST filing

Working knowledge of SMSF documentation, filing, and compliance

Experience with Xero (Xero certification or Xero Tax experience MANDATORY FOR THIS JOB ROLE)

Strong understanding of Australian accounting and compliance frameworks

Good written and verbal communication for direct client/onshore coordination Preferred Qualifications

CA / CA-Inter / CPA / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent

Prior experience in an outsourcing / KPO firm servicing Australian clients
