Role Overview The Senior Executive – HR (Payroll) will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end payroll operations for the European region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. The role requires strong knowledge of European payroll regulations, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and a high level of attention to detail. Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
Execute end-to-end payroll processing for multiple European countries in line with defined timelines.
Validate payroll inputs including new hires, exits, variable pay, bonuses, statutory deductions, and benefits.
Ensure accurate processing of monthly payroll, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Compliance & Statutory Adherence
Ensure payroll compliance with country-specific labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across Europe.
Maintain updated knowledge of payroll legislation changes and implement necessary updates.
Support audits (internal/external) by providing required documentation and reports.
Stakeholder Management
Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Act as a point of contact for employee payroll queries and ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with regional teams to align payroll processes and policies.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems.
Generate payroll reports, dashboards,
and analytics for leadership review.
Ensure data confidentiality and adherence to GDPR and data privacy standards.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.
Support automation initiatives and system enhancements related to payroll.
Drive standardization of payroll processes across the European region.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
4–7 years of experience in payroll processing, with exposure to European payroll.
Experience managing multi-country payroll operations is preferred.
Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, etc.).
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of European payroll regulations and compliance.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace.
Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll tools.
