The incumbent will be part of WSP’s Intelligent Infrastructure - Lighting and

Energy Solutions team, supportingthe delivery of Road lighting design and associated electrical engineering services across UK infrastructure projects.

The role focuses on developing coordinated, buildable, and maintainable lighting solutions for highways and exterior environments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and UK-based stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking lighting and electrical design activities for motorways, all purpose trunk roads, local authority roads,

transport hubs, public realm schemes, and related infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with engineers, CAD technicians, and project stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant, energy-efficient, and BIM-compliant design solutions. In addition, the role will support assessments for new and replacement lighting,

application of sustainable technologies such as LED lighting, adaptive lighting, optical control, and remote management systems, and post-delivery services including as-built documentation, installation checks, witness testing, and photometric surveys where required.
