Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and lead scalable, cloud-native data platforms and architectures using Databricks, BigQuery, GCP, PySpark, Python, and SQL . The role will focus on data architecture, lakehouse design, performance optimization, governance, and providing technical direction to data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and define scalable data architecture, lakehouse, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data platforms .
- Lead architecture and development of data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Apache Spark, BigQuery, and GCP .
- Design batch and streaming data processing solutions for analytics and BI workloads.
- Define data models, schemas, transformations, and analytics-ready datasets.
- Design and optimize BigQuery and Spark workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Define standards for data quality, governance, security, IAM, monitoring, and lineage .
- Design Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, dimensional models, Star and Snowflake schemas .
- Provide technical direction through architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and RCA.
- Mentor and guide data engineering teams on architecture, frameworks, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analytics teams,



and clients to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Drive CI/CD, deployment automation, infrastructure-as-code, and production release practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve data platform scalability, reliability, performance, and cost.

Required Skills
- 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture with technical leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake .
- Strong Python and SQL programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and GCP .
- Strong knowledge of Data Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, and Dimensional Modeling .
- Experience with Star Schema and Snowflake Schema .
- Strong understanding of batch and streaming data processing .
- Experience with Airflow, Cloud Composer, or Databricks Workflows .
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, IAM, data quality, and monitoring .
- Exposure to Git, CI/CD, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code .
- Strong architecture, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills.

Preferred
- Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
- Experience with Medallion Architecture and up-to-date Lakehouse platforms .
- Experience in performance and cost optimization of Spark and BigQuery workloads.
- Experience working with distributed and multi-source data environments.
