We are seeking a high-potential Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience to partner our Offline Business comprising Chemist, Modern Trade, Cosmetic, Institutional and Export channels.
The role will act as the finance co-pilot to the commercial leadership team, driving profitable growth, improving business performance, strengthening working capital management, and ensuring robust financial controls and governance. The incumbent will be expected to influence business decisions through data-driven insights while maintaining strong financial discipline across the channel portfolio.
This is a high-visibility role requiring strong stakeholder management, analytical capability, commercial acumen and people leadership skills. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
Chartered Accountant (CA)
8 to 10 years post-qualification experience
Exposure to SAP is must , (S/4 Hana) is preferred Relevant Experience:
- Business Finance / Commercial Finance
- FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, Consumer Products or Retail sectors
- Business partnering with Sales and Marketing teams
- Credit control and receivables management
- Trade spend and profitability management
- Team management experience
- Working in SAP S/4 Hana environment KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Strategic Business
Partnering
Partner Sales, Marketing and Channel leadership teams to drive profitable growth across Offline channels.
Provide financial insights and decision support on pricing, promotions, customer investments, trade schemes and current business opportunities.
Evaluate channel, customer and product profitability and recommend actions to improve margins.
Drive discussions around sales mix optimisation, premiumisation and portfolio profitability.
Support annual operating plans, rolling forecasts and long-range planning exercises.
Build robust business cases for investments, customer negotiations and strategic initiatives.
Manage relationship with key external stakeholders and business partners 2.
Revenue
Growth & EBITDA Delivery
Drive profitability improvement initiatives while balancing growth objectives.
Identify margin leakages and recommend corrective actions.
Track ROI of trade promotions, customer investments and channel marketing spends.
Support channel teams in achieving revenue, gross margin and EBITDA targets.
Conduct periodic reviews of customer and channel profitability and lead corrective interventions.
Manage Pricing & discounts across channels. 3.
Credit
Control & Working Capital Management
Lead receivables governance across Offline channels.
Monitor customer credit limits, ageing, overdue collections and DSO performance.
Drive collection efficiency through close coordination with Sales and customer stakeholders.
Ensure timely resolution of disputes affecting collections.
Strengthen cash flow visibility and support working capital improvement initiatives.
Escalate key risks and drive actions on overdue receivables. 4.
Financial
Hygiene & Controls
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Drive robust month-end and quarter-end closure processes.
Monitor provisioning adequacy, claim accounting and customer reconciliations.
Strengthen governance around trade schemes, rebates, incentives and customer settlements.
Ensure complete compliance with internal controls, delegation matrices and company policies.
Support statutory, internal and channel audits as required.
Ensure compliance with Direct (TDS) & Indirect tax (GST) provisions 5.

Governance
Establish strong controls around Trade schemes, Customer claims, Commercial agreements, Credit notes, Distributor settlements, Institutional and export transactions
Ensure adherence to pricing governance and financial approval processes.
Review customer contracts from a financial risk perspective. 6.

Analytics and Decision Support
Develop channel-wise dashboards and actionable MIS.
Generate insights on
Customer profitability
Sales mix
Margin performance
Channel economics
Working capital trends
Trade spend effectiveness
Present insights periodically to senior leadership.
Facilitate data-driven decision making through scenario analysis and financial modelling.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead, mentor and develop a team of 5 finance professionals.
Build a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
Effectively delegate responsibilities while ensuring delivery excellence.
Coach team members on business partnering, analytical thinking and stakeholder management.
Drive succession planning and capability enhancement within the team.
Foster collaboration across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Commercial Functions.
