Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Mechanical Fitting

Read and interpret technical engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly specifications.

Fit, align, and assemble sub-components and complete mechanical structures using pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, fasteners, and power tools.

Perform mechanical bench fitting tasks including filing, drilling, tapping, reaming, lapping, and grinding to achieve required component tolerances.

Position, level, and align heavy machine sub-assemblies, shafts, gears, bearings, bushes, and hydraulic/pneumatic couplings.

Quality Inspection & Testing

Inspect and measure machined components for dimensional accuracy using precision instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial test indicators, height gauges).

Conduct static and operational bench tests on assembled equipment to check for alignment, smooth clearances, leaks, or vibration issues.

Identify surface defects, burrs,



or dimensional deviations and rectify them through manual benchwork or minor re-machining.

Safety & Workshop Maintenance

Strictly adhere to shop-floor safety protocols, 5S workplace management standards, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Maintain bench tools, assembly jigs, fixtures, and power machinery in clean working condition.

Log daily production targets, component usage, and assembly defect reports.
