NeuroDrift is a US-based AI voice and enterprise software company. We are hiring one senior, hands-on engineer to own a major real-time voice AI build end to end: architecture, production code, infra, and the technical relationship with the client.

You write code daily and set technical direction while doing it. We expect you productive in week one, not month three. If you haven't shipped AI in production recently, or you've drifted into diagrams and delegation, this isn't the one.

What you'll own

- Architecture and hands-on development of a real-time voice AI platform, end to end
- ASR, LLM, and TTS wired into production: orchestration, fallbacks, latency and cost tuning
- Audio ingestion pipelines from telephony, live streams, and vendor APIs
- Backend, data layer, infra, deployment, and observability. You operate what you build
- Breaking product requirements into tasks, guiding a pod of 3 to 6, shipping weekly
- Being the technical face of the project: architecture calls, sprint reviews, client meetings

What we need (4-8 years)

- 4-8 years building backend systems in production, with recent time leading
- You still code daily: Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL




- Real, recent AI in production: ASR, LLM APIs, RAG, evals. Integration work, not model training
- Robust AWS. You deploy, debug, and operate your own services (Docker, CI/CD)
- Led a pod of 3 to 6 without going hands-off

Strongly preferred

- Voice and conversational AI: STT, TTS, real-time audio, LiveKit, WebRTC, SIP
- Multi-provider model orchestration and failover
- Latency work on streaming audio: barge-in, endpointing, turn-taking

- Claude Code from day one. We are an AI-native team and expect you to use AI tooling to ship faster, not work around it
- Small pods, weekly ships, direct client contact. No layers between you and the outcome

The setup

- Fully remote
- 50 to 60 hours a week, startup pace
- Primarily IST, with availability for US-time client meetings
- Immediate joiners only. Non-negotiable
- Compensation is competitive for a high-intensity startup build role and matched to skill, not years on a CV. If you're anchored to a large-enterprise band, we're likely not the fit
