– Senior Executive – Accounts Role Purpose The Executive / Senior Executive – Accounts is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, statutory compliance, timely vendor and customer accounting, and supporting the organization's financial reporting requirements. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, GST, and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities

Basic

Accounting & Financial Operations

Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis. Record and maintain Purchase Entries, Sales Entries, Debit Notes, and Credit Notes. Manage petty cash transactions and maintain accurate cash records.

Process

Cash & Bank Vouchers, Cheques, Credit Notes, and Debit Notes. Maintain daily records of receipts and payments. Ensure timely accounting of customer collections. Verify and account for invoices, purchase orders, bills, and supporting documents.

Raise Debit

Notes wherever applicable.

Manage Accounts

Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. Process vendor payments within the approved timelines. Perform vendor account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies. Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments through telephone and email communication.

- Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) Compliance

Ensure accurate deduction of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) as per the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Deduct TDS on payments such as contractor bills,



job work charges, professional fees, commission, rent, freight, interest, and other applicable transactions. Deduct TDS from employee salaries as per the applicable Income Tax provisions.

Ensure timely remittance of TDS to the Government within statutory due dates. Prepare and file TDS returns accurately and within prescribed timelines. Issue TDS certificates to deductees as per statutory requirements.

- GST Compliance

Prepare and maintain GST-related data and documentation. Ensure timely filing of GST returns and payment of GST liabilities. Perform GST reconciliations with purchase, sales, and accounting records. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure GST compliance and resolve discrepancies.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Accounting. Sound understanding of TDS, GST, and statutory compliance.

Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management. Knowledge of Bank Reconciliation and Vendor Reconciliation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Positive communication and coordination skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
