Role Overview The Experienced Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and maintaining full compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (AS), GST regulations, and Companies Act requirements applicable to a Private Limited Company. This role is central to maintaining the financial integrity of the organization, supporting timely closures, statutory filings, and providing reliable financial data for management decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in general accounting, taxation, and compliance within a fast-paced, growth-oriented business environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and customer billing; monitor ageing reports and follow up on outstanding payments/collections to maintain healthy working capital.
- GST Compliance & Filing: Manage end-to-end GST compliance including preparation of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns (GSTR-9/9C where applicable); perform Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation with GSTR-2B and vendor books; ensure timely reconciliation and rectification of mismatches.
- TDS/TCS Compliance: Calculate, deduct, deposit, and prepare TDS/TCS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27EQ) within statutory due dates; issue Form 16/16A as required.
- Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management: Conduct regular bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow positions, and manage petty cash and fund transfers across accounts.




- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Execute month-end and year-end closing activities including provisions, accruals, depreciation schedules (as per Schedule II), and inventory valuation.
- Statutory & Internal Audit Support: Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants; prepare audit schedules, respond to audit queries, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements — including Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement — in compliance with Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support compliance with Companies Act, 2013 provisions (ROC filings, MCA compliance, Board resolutions related to finance), Income Tax Act provisions, and other applicable statutory requirements for Private Limited Companies.
- Cost Accounting & MIS Reporting: Track cost centers, prepare variance analysis, and generate MIS reports for management review, including budget vs. actual comparisons.
- Inventory records: Maintain raw material and finished goods inventory valuation, wastage accounting, manage production cost sheets, handle GST implications on manufacturing inputs, and reconcile stock as per factory records.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register,



compute depreciation as per Companies Act and Income Tax Act provisions, and track asset additions/disposals.

Required Qualifications

- Education: B.Com / M.Com (Mandatory); CA (Inter/Qualified)(Preferred but not compulsory)
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; prior experience in a Private Limited Company or manufacturing/trading environment is an advantage

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Tally Prime (mandatory);
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas for reconciliation and reporting)
- Strong working knowledge of GST law, TDS provisions under the Income Tax Act, 1961, and Indian Accounting Standards (AS) as applicable
- Familiarity with e-invoicing, e-way bill generation, and GST portal operations

Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge:

- Understanding of Private Limited Company compliance requirements including ROC filings, statutory registers, and Companies Act, 2013 provisions
- Awareness of applicable labour law compliances (PF, ESI, Professional Tax) as relevant to payroll accounting

Soft Skills:

- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication for liaising with auditors, vendors, and management
- Ability to work under deadlines, particularly during month-end/year-end closing and statutory filing periods
- Team collaboration and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary & Benefits

- Compensation: Rs. 3,00,000 to 6,00,000 per annum
- Benefits: PF, ESI, Gratuity, paid leave
