About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP PP/DS Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Advanced Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) across SAP APO and SAP S/4HANA PP/DS environments.

The consultant will be responsible for understanding business planning and production requirements, designing scalable planning solutions, configuring PP/DS processes, supporting integration with SAP modules, and ensuring optimized production planning and scheduling outcomes.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in production planning, capacity planning, MRP integration, heuristics, optimization, pegging, alert monitoring, order sequencing, master data, and CIF integration, along with experience working on SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, implement, and support SAP PP/DS solutions.
- Work on Advanced Planning and Detailed Scheduling processes across SAP APO and S/4HANA PP/DS.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP PP/DS solutions.
- Configure and maintain PP/DS master data, including resources, products, PDS, planning procedures, and relevant planning parameters.
- Work on integration between PP/DS and SAP PP/MM/SD processes.




- Support CIF integration between SAP ECC and SAP APO environments.
- Work on integration between SAP S/4HANA PP/DS and other SAP modules.
- Configure and support planning runs, heuristics, optimization, and scheduling strategies.
- Analyze planning results, capacity constraints, alerts, and scheduling issues.
- Support order sequencing and production scheduling based on business requirements.
- Perform requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams where required.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities for planning process optimization and performance improvement.
- Support enhancement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with business users, planners, production teams, and other SAP functional teams.
- Prepare functional and configuration documentation.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

- 10 years of overall SAP experience.
- Robust hands-on experience in SAP PP/DS.
- Experience with SAP APO PP/DS and/or SAP S/4HANA PP/DS.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Planning and Detailed Scheduling.

- Strong experience in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and production support.
- Experience in at least one SAP APO or S/4HANA PP/DS implementation, rollout, migration, or upgrade project.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- SAP S/4HANA PP/DS implementation experience.
- Experience with SAP IBP integration.
- Knowledge of SAP Digital Manufacturing or related manufacturing solutions.
- Experience with PP/DS optimization and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of manufacturing industries and complex production planning scenarios.
- SAP certification in PP/DS, APO, or S/4HANA.
- Experience working on global implementations or multi-country rollouts.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
