Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior SAP BTP / CAP Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and architecting scalable applications using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) .

The ideal candidate should be able to independently drive technical discussions, design end-to-end solutions, explain architectural decisions and trade-offs, and demonstrate robust practical knowledge of CAP and BTP services .

This role requires someone who is comfortable working on multi-tenant CAP applications , cloud architecture, integrations, security, and enterprise-grade application design.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using SAP BTP and CAP .
- Independently lead system design and architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations.
- Design end-to-end solutions covering application architecture, integrations, security, persistence, APIs, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain CAP-based applications using Node.js and/or Java .
- Design and implement multi-tenant CAP applications using appropriate SAP BTP services and tenancy architecture.
- Work with SaaS Provisioning Service / SaaS Registry and understand their role in implementing multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Design and implement secure authentication and authorization using XSUAA / SAP Authorization and Trust Management Service .
- Develop and consume REST/OData APIs and integrate CAP applications with SAP and third-party systems.
- Work with SAP HANA Cloud for data persistence and application development.
- Implement application deployment and lifecycle management using Cloud Foundry .
- Work with SAP BTP services , including Destination Service, Connectivity Service, XSUAA, SaaS Provisioning, SaaS Registry, and related services.
- Perform technical feasibility analysis and evaluate different architectural approaches.
- Identify architectural trade-offs and clearly communicate the reasoning behind technical decisions.




- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, security, and deployment issues.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development and architecture best practices.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team.

Required Technical Skills

SAP BTP

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry .
- Good understanding of BTP architecture and core platform services.

- Events and messaging
- Authentication and authorization
- Persistence with SAP HANA Cloud
- Application deployment

Multi-Tenancy
- Mandatory hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-tenant CAP applications.
- Strong understanding of SaaS architecture on SAP BTP .
- Hands-on experience with SaaS Provisioning Service and SaaS Registry .
- Understanding of tenant onboarding, subscription, provisioning, and tenant-specific application behavior.
- Ability to explain the architecture and flow of a multi-tenant CAP application independently.

Architecture & System Design
- Strong system-design and solution-architecture skills.




- Ability to independently drive architecture discussions.
- Ability to explain technical decisions, alternatives, and trade-offs.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, highly available cloud applications.
- Strong understanding of API-based and event-driven architectures.

- Strong experience with SAP BTP architecture and cloud-native application development
- Experience independently handling system design and technical architecture discussions

What We Are Looking For The successful candidate should be able to:
- Independently design an end-to-end BTP/CAP solution .
- Clearly explain why a particular BTP service or architecture is selected .
- Demonstrate practical understanding of CAP multi-tenancy and SaaS architecture .
- Explain the roles of SaaS Provisioning Service, SaaS Registry, XSUAA, HANA Cloud, Destination Service, and Connectivity Service within a BTP solution.
- Discuss architectural alternatives and trade-offs without relying heavily on interviewer guidance.
- Demonstrate actual hands-on implementation experience rather than only theoretical knowledge.

Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Key Requirement

Strong hands-on SAP BTP + CAP architecture and multi-tenancy experience is mandatory. Candidates with only basic CAP development or general BTP exposure may not be suitable for this role.
