- Drive primary and secondary sales across the assigned General Trade territory.

- Manage order taking from distributors, retailers and key outlets as per the defined beat plan.

- Achieve monthly sales targets across volume, value, SKU mix and distribution.

- Ensure effective beat coverage and productive calls as per the daily journey plan.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers and channel partners.

- Drive numeric distribution, range selling, new product penetration and SKU availability.

- Monitor secondary sales, stock levels, retailer inventory and distributor pipeline regularly.

- Ensure timely order execution, billing, collections and resolution of market-related issues.

- Track competitor activity, pricing, schemes, visibility and market developments and share actionable insights.

- Maintain accurate sales reports and SFA/DMS updates, using market data to improve productivity and territory performance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

1. 3 to 6 years of experience in General Trade sales, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Apparel or related industries.





2. Candidates with strong experience in order-taking sales and distributor-led GT operations will be preferred.

3. Should have hands-on experience managing retailers, distributors and assigned market beats.

4. Strong understanding of primary sales, secondary sales, distribution and sales productivity metrics.

5. Should be comfortable working with monthly sales targets and analysing achievement versus target.

6. Good understanding of SKU-wise sales, outlet productivity, range selling and numeric distribution.

7. Should have experience using SFA, DMS or other sales automation applications.

8. Strong market knowledge of Bangalore and surrounding General Trade markets will be an advantage.

9. Should possess robust negotiation, communication, relationship management and execution skills.

10. Must be comfortable with extensive field travel, daily market visits and working in a target-driven environment.
