Role Description The Sales Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at the Clay by Lingaraj Granites showroom in Bhubaneswar.

The Sales

Assistant will greet and assist customers, understand their requirements, and guide them in selecting suitable products such as marbles, tiles, bath ware, and other decor items. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing product information, preparing quotations, maintaining showroom displays, and ensuring accurate billing and documentation. The role involves coordinating with the internal team on stock availability, order status, and delivery schedules,



while maintaining organized records of customer interactions.

The Sales

Assistant will support promotional activities, follow up with prospective clients, and contribute to a welcoming and professional showroom environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to build rapport and provide a positive showroom experience.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to explain product features, pricing, and options to customers.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to identify customer needs, recommend suitable products, and support closing sales effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills to manage inquiries, quotations, inventory updates, and documentation efficiently.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., MS Office, billing software) and comfort working with digital records.
- Prior experience in retail, showroom sales, or home decor/building materials is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible schedule, including weekends and peak seasons, as needed.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
