Role & responsibilities The Risk Operations Manager role supports the Risk Transformation team by providing operational,
administrative and coordination support across the Risk & Ethics function. It helps ensure core team rhythms, reporting, governance, financial operations and projects run smoothly, while creating capacity for leadership through strong execution, accurate information management and proactive follow-through.
Role purpose
- Provide high-quality operational, administrative and coordination support, enabling the Risk &
Ethics function to operate efficiently and consistently.
- Support the smooth delivery of core team rhythms, executive reporting, governance activities,
financial operations and project coordination across the Risk & Ethics portfolio.
- Owning repeatable processes, maintaining accurate operational information and coordinating
activities that support leadership decision-making and team engagement.
- Contribute to a more standardised, disciplined and scalable operating model for Risk & Ethics
through strong execution, attention to detail and proactive follow-through.
Key accountabilities
- Delivers accurate, timely and well-presented documents, reports, dashboards and standard
templates to support Risk & Ethics leadership routines and decision-making.
- Provides secretariat and coordination support for key meetings, including agenda preparation,
minute taking, action tracking and follow-up to ensure commitments are captured and progressed.
- Maintains core operational information, including group mailing lists, organisational charts, team
photo boards and other reference materials, ensuring they remain current and reliable.
- Coordinates team engagement activities and events, including Town Halls, Connection Days
and related logistics, to support effective communication and connection across the function.
- Supports financial operations by coordinating job code set-up, billing preparation, WIP reports,
job code and budget rate monitoring, invoice coding and purchase order processes.
- Enables project delivery through practical coordination support, including contractor onboarding,
recruitment coordination and tracking of agreed project actions and dependencies.
- Maintains information and workflow systems, including Risk & Ethics SharePoint content,
ServiceNow forms and articles, and relevant Workday updates such as supervisory organisation changes, team lead moves and location changes. Critical experience & capabilities
Essential
- Strong operational coordination experience in a professional services, corporate, shared services
or similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documents, reports, templates and meeting
materials with robust attention to detail.
- Experience providing secretariat or governance support, including agenda preparation, minute
taking, action tracking and stakeholder follow-up.
- Highly organised, proactive and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet
deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong written communication skills and sound judgement in handling sensitive information,
senior stakeholder interactions and follow-up actions.
- Confident user of Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams and
SharePoint.
Desirable
- Experience supporting risk, ethics, independence, governance, operations or executive office
teams.
- Familiarity with financial administration activities such as billing preparation, WIP monitoring,
purchase orders, invoice coding and job code management.
- Working knowledge of systems such as ServiceNow, Workday, Basware or equivalent workflow,
finance and people platforms.
- Experience coordinating team events, communications, onboarding or recruitment-related processes.
