Role Description The Relationship Officer is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, helping them navigate SBI Securities’ range of investment products and services. Day-to-day activities include engaging with existing and prospective clients, understanding their financial objectives, and recommending suitable solutions across equity, derivatives, mutual funds, and other instruments. The role involves assisting clients with account opening, resolving service-related issues, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth transactions, and supporting clients in using the trading platform.

The Relationship

Officer is also expected to participate in business development activities,



follow regulatory and compliance guidelines, and maintain accurate records of client interactions. This is a full-time, in office role based in Kolkata.

Qualifications

Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, understand financial needs, and provide suitable product recommendations.

Knowledge of investment products such as equity, derivatives, mutual funds, fixed deposits, bonds, insurance, loans, and NCDs, or a willingness to learn quickly.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and handle client queries professionally.

Basic numerical and analytical skills to interpret investment information, assess risk, and support clients in making informed decisions.

Comfort with using digital trading platforms and standard office software; ability to guide clients through online processes and tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining high ethical standards and compliance with regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, economics, or a related field preferred; relevant experience in financial services or sales is an advantage.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage client portfolios, documentation, and follow-up activities effectively.
