Head – Quality Engineering & AI Quality

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality Engineering & AI Quality to define and execute our long-term quality vision as we evolve from traditional software testing to AI-powered, autonomous Quality Engineering.

This leader will build a next-generation quality organization that leverages automation, AI agents, predictive quality analytics, intelligent test generation, and continuous quality monitoring to deliver world-class healthcare technology.

The role will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Data Science, DevOps, and Security teams to embed quality into every stage of product development while enabling faster, safer, and more reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Define and execute the organization's Quality Engineering strategy aligned with the company's Vision 2030.

Build a roadmap for transitioning from manual and script-based testing to AI-assisted and Agentic AI Quality Engineering.

Establish Quality Engineering as a strategic business capability rather than a testing function.

Create a culture of continuous quality improvement across the organization.

AI & Intelligent Quality Engineering

Build AI-driven testing capabilities using Generative AI and intelligent automation.

Introduce Agentic AI workflows for autonomous test creation, maintenance, execution, and defect analysis.

Leverage AI to perform

Test case generation

Test optimization

Defect prediction

Root cause analysis

Intelligent regression selection

Risk-based testing

Evaluate and implement AI-powered QA platforms and tools.

Drive predictive quality analytics using engineering and production data.

Automation Excellence

Define an automation-first strategy with measurable automation coverage goals.

Establish scalable frameworks for

Ensure automation becomes an integral part of every CI/CD pipeline.

Embed quality across the SDLC through Shift-Left and Shift-Right practices.

Implement quality gates within Azure DevOps and deployment pipelines.

Establish engineering quality metrics including:

Escaped Defects

Change Failure Rate

MTTR

Automation Coverage

Test Stability

Release Readiness Index

Production Defect Density

Build Quality Observability dashboards for leadership.

Healthcare Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and interoperability standards including:

HIPAA

HL7

FHIR

CMS quality requirements

Drive validation of clinical workflows, interoperability, security, privacy, and audit readiness.

Leadership

Build and mentor a high-performing Quality Engineering organization.

Upskill the QA team in AI-assisted testing, automation engineering, and up-to-date quality practices.

Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Architecture, and Customer Success teams.

Operational Excellence

Lead production incident reviews and systemic root cause analysis.

Improve release predictability and deployment confidence.

Optimize testing cost through intelligent automation.

Own QA budgets, tooling strategy, vendor relationships, and technology investments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

15+ years of progressive experience in Software Quality Engineering.

Proven experience leading enterprise QA organizations.

Demonstrated success building automation-first engineering teams.

Experience driving DevOps, CI/CD, and Engineering Excellence initiatives.

Exposure to AI-enabled software development and quality engineering practices is highly desirable.

Experience in Healthcare Technology, SaaS, HealthTech, or regulated industries preferred.

Establish autonomous testing capabilities using AI agents where appropriate.
