Job Summary

QA Tester - Hyderabad / Hybrid - Playwright and TypeScript experience required

Responsibilities

- Test Design and Execution

- Analyze project requirements and design comprehensive test cases and scenarios for functional, API, and data validation.

- Apply risk-based testing techniques to prioritize test execution based on business impact and technical risk.

- Execute manual and automated tests to validate functionality, performance, and data accuracy.

- Maintain and update automated test scripts with guidance from senior automation engineers.

- Perform regression and smoke testing as part of continuous integration pipelines.

- Defect Identification and Reporting

- Identify, document, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA.

- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues quickly.

- Retest resolved defects to confirm fixes and avoid reoccurences.

- Collaboration with the Test Automation Team

- Work closely with automation engineers to integrate automated tests into sprint delivery.

- Identify manual test cases that can be automated to increase coverage.

- Assist in debugging failed automated scripts and updating them as needed.

- Create automated test scripts using any automation tool and bring value adds to the project.

- Collaboration and Communication





- Engage early in the development lifecycle to provide input on requirements and designs (shift-left testing).

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Communicate test progress, risks, and blockers to the team in a timely manner.

- Work with product owners and business analysts to clarify requirements.

- Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain detailed and accurate test documentation, including test cases, execution results, and defect reports.

- Ensure test evidence meets GxP compliance standards where applicable.

- Contribute to test summary reports that provide visibility into quality metrics.

- Ensure test coverage maps to requirements through Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs).

- Continuous Improvement

- Actively learn and apply automation skills to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Provide feedback on process improvements to enhance QA practices.

- Stay updated on QA tools, frameworks, industry best practices, and GxP guidelines.

- Actively use AI tools to improve the efficiency and save time in creating test scripts.
