What you'll do

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll take the lead on designing intuitive, self-service database products that make all the difference to our customers, as well as our strategic targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a highly innovative and supportive environment.

You’ll collaborate with product owners to create roadmaps and manage the lifecycle, taking customer feedback, new feature requests and production issues into consideration. As you continue to manage the selection, creation and maintenance of database-related technologies, you’ll ensure that our solutions comply with the bank’s requirements and responsibilities.

You’ll also

Identify new ways to solve problems and enhance performance using tech tools

Provide operational support for pattern or product-related issues, and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions

Build awareness of design-thinking tools and techniques across the bank to improve products





Work with key stakeholders to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible service The skills you'll need To thrive in this role, you’ll have experience in software development or automation scripting, such as Python or Shell. You’ll be knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle, with experience of utilising modern infrastructure as code via tooling.

We’ll expect you to bring a good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets, with the ability to create the vision for the Release Train, feature team, platform and domain.

In addition, you’ll have:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related cloud platform roles least five years of strong experience in AWS products & services, with strong focus on security, and controls

Extensive automation experience with demonstrable skills in IaC using Terraform, and Python

Practical experience of designing, and using CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, automated testing and deployments

Software development or scripting skills, with experience of the SDLC along with good understanding of Agile methodologies and toolsets such as Jira

Drive to make sure that solutions have security considered from the outset

Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Capacity to focus on the customer, empathise with them and influence to achieve the right outcome
