Job-Type: On-site, Monday - Saturday Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated Propulsion Turbomachinery Engineer to join our team. Support the design, analysis, and development of turbomachinery components (pumps, turbines, and related rotating assemblies) used in aerospace or gas turbine propulsion systems. This role offers the prospect to work closely on hardware realisation & testing programs, contributing to aerodynamic, mechanical, and performance analysis of turbomachinery systems.

Core Responsibilities:

Support the design and analysis of turbomachinery components including pumps, turbines, mechanical seal, hydrostatic bearing, rotordynamics, and rotating assemblies for propulsion systems.

Perform aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and mechanical analysis of turbomachinery stages using industry-standard tools.

CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modeling and simulation to evaluate flow performance and efficiency.

Conduct structural and stress analysis (FEA) on turbomachinery components to ensure mechanical integrity under operating loads.

Evaluate component performance against design requirements and identify areas for optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including materials, manufacturing, systems, and controls engineering.

Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and presentations summarizing analysis results.

Support root cause investigations for component anomalies or test failures.

Experience & Qualifications:

2 years of work experience in turbomachinery design or fluid system design.

Master's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with a focus on turbomachinery or propulsion is preferred.

Required Technical

Skills

Experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar) for component design/review.

Understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to turbomachinery (casting, machining, additive manufacturing).

Solid understanding of turbomachinery fundamentals: compressor/turbine aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and rotor dynamics.

Familiarity with CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS CFX, Fluent, Star CCM+ or similar).

Working knowledge of FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, or similar) for structural analysis.
